UZIMA is a socio-health programme of the Parish of Ndanda in southern Tanzania existing since 2006. Its general goal is to improve the general health and social conditions of the inhabitants of Ndanda Parish. This includes the 6 villages of Njenga, Mpowora, Liputu, Tuungane, Mwena and Mkalapa with a total population of about 26,000 people. Prevention activities are also extended to the whole catchment area of Ndanda’s St. Benedict Hospital, which is our close partner for the medical part of the programme. The services are offered without discrimination of any kind.
